This was a double project that we undertook at the same time in Warwick. Both were block paved, but each one in a different style. First one was laid with brand new blocks and for the other one we re-used the original bricks, that were still in a great shape. They just needed a little bit of love.
But let’s start at the beginning. First we removed the existing tarmac driveway on one side and dug out the old but undamaged bricks on the other. Then we laid a new 804 sub-base and compacted it smooth. We also put in new flat top kerbing, to give the driveways a precise definition, as well as installed a complete new draining system around the whole perimeter.
The driveway, that replaced the old tarmac one, was laid with Charcoal Tegula Pavers in three different sizes. The other one was laid with the original bricks as mentioned above in a traditional 90 degree pattern and steam cleaned to gain a fresh look.
